This unique Mt Mahogany wooden walking cane sculpture is smooth and soft with beautiful grain patterns, and a custom shaped top and hand grip. The exotic art sculpture arose from a single natural tree branch and has live-edge bark strategically incorporated into its design. It measures 41 inches tall and has a rubber tip [length can be adjusted; currently 38.25" to top of grip], the handle grip is 6.5" long x 2.87" diameter; the elaborate knob end at the very top is 3.5'' wide); tip 7/8''. It weighs 2.1 lbs. This cane is extremely strong and stiff.
... Mountain Mahogany trees are usually 10-20' tall and grow on dry rocky hillsides in the high desert of eastern Oregon. They have a dense and very strong wood that allows a beautiful silk-like finish coat to my art pieces. It is extremely rare to find a Mt Mahogany branch that is straight enough to be made into a cane or walking/hiking stick.
… A smooth, satin, oil based finish enhances the beauty of this walking stick. Then it was coated with Howard’s Feed-N-Wax (a blend of beeswax, Brazilian carnauba wax, mineral oil, and orange oil).

Care of your Valuable Art piece:
1. The beauty of your art piece will best be maintained by periodically gently removing dust with a very soft cloth, and perhaps occasionally rejuvenating the finish with a very light coat of Howard’s Feed-N-Wax (a blend of beeswax, Brazilian carnauba wax, mineral oil, and orange oil).
2. The wood for this sculpture was cured until it reached a moisture content like that in most homes. In some pieces, natural cracks have been filled and others have been retained to enhance the sculpture's design. Occasionally, over time, cracks may change since indoor humidity levels vary considerably (e.g., residence, office, area of the country).
3. Your cane should not be stored in direct sunlight (no wood likes direct sun) because strong light will fade its rich colors.
4. Display this treasure where it will be protected from chemicals and moisture.
