This intriguing, irregular, 32-inch branching multipart root-bowl sculpture began as fire killed tree in eastern Oregon.  It has flared sides and smooth golden-tan colors.  The bowl is 13.25" tall x 32 x 24.5, and weighs 13 lbs.  
... Shipping:  because the shipping charge on such a large bowl is high, if possible, I recommend your contacting me PRIOR TO PURCHASE so we can arrange local pick up (Portland, Oregon area). In this case (if done in ADVANCE) I can set the item's details so that you do not pay shipping.  Unfortunately, if shipping charges are over $250 I will have to charge you for the extra. 
…Natural splits and cracks have been strengthened and sealed with epoxy.  
…The for wood this intriguing sculpture came came from a wild lodgepole pine tree 14 inches in diameter and roughly 40’ tall that was killed in an eastern Oregon forest fire.  As you look at this bowl, what is up are the roots that went down as the tree grew.  The tree's trunk makes the base of the bowl. 
… As for all my larger sculptures, this piece comes with a descriptive, personalized and printed "Record of Ownership."  
… A smooth, satin, oil-based finish seals and protects this bowl, and the inside is also coated with a special food safe wax, so it can hold and display anything but liquids or very moist items.

Care of your Valuable Art piece:  
1.  The beauty of your art piece is best maintained by periodically gently removing dust with a soft brush on a vacuum cleaner, and occasionally buffing it with either a very light polish such as Howard’s Butcher Block – conditioner (a tasteless and odorless mix of food grade mineral oil & natural waxes).  
2. As for all wood art, it should NOT be displayed in direct sunlight because strong light will fade its rich colors, although some wood’s colors inevitably change a bit over time. 
3. Display this treasure where it will be protected from chemicals and moisture.
