Golden brown with beautiful rich swirly figured grain and slight bark on the "live edge" rim.  This rare wood bowl sculpture comes from reclaimed tree limbs collected from a storm damaged tree.  It is 6" tall x 9" x 8'', 1 lb., 14 oz.  
… The beautiful salvaged white oak wood came from a tree 52” diameter and ~60’ tall, approximately 200 years old.  The limbs fell in a wind storm in Clackamas, Oregon.  
… The fine art piece was shaped in ways that preserved the character of the fascinating grain patterns and colors.  Natural holes and cracks have been filled and sealed with epoxy.  
… As for all my major sculptures , this piece comes with a personalized and printed "Certificate of Ownership" that explains the sculpture’s creation and history.  
… A smooth semi-gloss finish protects this bowl so it can hold and display anything but liquids or moist items.

Care of your Valuable Art piece:  
1.  The beauty of your art piece will best be maintained by periodically gently removing dust with a very soft brush and occasionally rejuvenating the finish with either a very light coat of Howard’s Feed-N-Wax (a blend of beeswax, Brazilian carnauba wax, mineral oil, and orange oil).  – OR --  for food storage use:  Howard’s Butcher Block – conditioner (the latter is a tasteless and odorless mix of food grade mineral oil & natural waxes).  
2. As for all wood art, it should NOT be displayed in direct sunlight (no wood likes direct sun) because strong light will fade its rich colors, of course some wood’s colors inevitably change a bit over time. 
3. Display this treasure where it will be protected from chemicals and moisture.
